The people in my life are more important than anything else. My primary measure of wealth is the number of couches I could crash on when 💩 hits the fan.
I am a software product engineer. I love seeing how software and design can solve real problems for real people.
I have strong opinions (that I do my best to detach from). I am quite emotional and generally anxious. These feelings can be hard to deal with, but they can also be tremendous amplifiers when applied to the right signals.
I am a natural leader and derive deep satisfaction from mentoring and partnering with inspired, talented people.
I am obsessive. If something catches my interest, I will naturally engage with that activity until the point of diminishing returns.
🪨 Why Does This Site Exist
This site is a rubber duck. It allows me to think through writing.
Writing has held a loose obsession over me for most of my life, and I have found it an essential tool for resolving internal conflict. Publishing my thoughts here is, first and foremost, a tool for me to confront and answer scary questions. Secondly, by making those public, there is a chance that they will be able to help somebody else.
🧠 Top of Mind 2024
- I will be choosing my next career bet by May 2024. Annie and I just finished our first sabbatical, traveling through California, Hawaii, and New Zealand. We have landed in NY and will be moving on May 1.
- Creating new communities in New York.
- Becoming a big tennis girlie in NY.
